2014: Be it Resolved...

Resolution (noun): a decision or determination; a resolve; a promise to do something.

Resolve (verb): to make a definite decision to do something

I don't make resolutions most years, but I have one this year: to face the world one day at a time.

Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one

This year I will focus on becoming healthy. I've spent the last year living in a dark place where "hope" is just the part of the word that comes before "-less". By the end of the year, writing this blog required more energy than I had; most things required more energy than I had.

I've got a new doctor and a new therapist and some new medication. I'm starting to see sunshine again, and  I'm ready to take on the world.

Knowing me, I'll take on the world to the point of overwhelming myself and shutting down again when I can't handle everything. Thus my resolution. One thing at a time, one day at a time.

How about you? Are you making resolutions? Share in the comments.

And Happy New Year to all of us!

    1. Great resolutions. I've got so many things I want to do including improving my eating habits and working on my novel. I'm so easily overwhelmed that I'm just making lists and checking off one thing at a time.

  2. My resolution is to close my Etsy shop and remove a huge source of stress and distraction from my life, and focus on my family, friends, and faith instead.
