Autumn Shopping

Hey, y'all, believe it or not, it's time to start thinking about the holidays. Before we get to that big red and green, lights twinkling, pine tree smellin', winter holiday, let's enjoy the fall holidays, shall we? Can I get an amen?

Another one of my son's many talents!

One of my favorite ways to shop is to look through the Current Catalog. It has such fun stuff for every holiday. You can also shop on  their website. AND get free shipping!

 Here are some of the things I found on my most recent shopping "trip." Let's start with Halloween. Halloween has always been a big holiday in our family. If you don't believe me, check out my daughter's blog post from last Halloween: "Halloween Madness."

Also witness the creepy Jack O' Lantern above that my son carved several years ago. Now if your children are too young to handle a knife or too young to handle a demonic-faced pumpkin, you might want to try these pumpkin face stickers:

I like this Jack O' Lantern welcome mat to set the holiday mood right at the front  door.

Perfect for the front porch rail

I found this one to be particularly creepy! Put these window posters in a front window and turn on a light inside the room. You might scare off all the Trick or Treaters and get to keep all the candy for yourself! I mean, it's worth a try, right?

Let's just skip this house and go next door, Mommy.

For the inside, I like these table decorations. They're made of card stock and black foil. You choose from the crow, cat, or scarecrow and get four of one pattern in the set.

Current Catalog has a huge selection of Halloween goodies, but I don't want to forget Thanksgiving, so let's move on. Here are some autumn and Thanksgiving themed items I fell in love with and wanted to share.

I think this Autumn Star decoration for the front door is just gorgeous, and it's on its way to my house right now!

A metal star embellished with faux fall leaves, acorns, and an old-fashioned gingham-check bow can decorate your home beautifully indoors or outside in a protected area. Includes a hanging loop for easy display.

Alternatively, I  like this wreath of fall flowers. Hmm, maybe for inside the house.

I think I'll get this little "Count Your Blessings Tree" craft kit to make with my granddaughters.

 Each kit includes glue-on foam pieces, magnets, and instructions. About 11" high.

This turkey sticker kit would be fun too.

And finally, after the turkey and the pumpkin pie have been eaten and you're basking in the warmth of your family, you can all play Thanksgiving BINGO!

I don't know about you, but I love decorating for the holidays, and this post has really gotten me in the mood.
